Russia, 1992
While living in Prague during the 90’s, Gail and Martin Zet organised various symposiums.
During a summer symposium when 3 Russian artists were hosted, Vitaly Patsnyukov a visiting art critic from Moscow, invited me to produce a show in the Russian countryside, in order to exhibit in Moscow.
My works were made from scattered materials found in Moscow and a village 80km to the north. In August 1992, local artists printed posters and pasted them around the city announcing the exhibition.
Before leaving, Vitaly asked me for two of my pieces to exhibit alongside, amongst others, Malevish and Kandinsky.
The rest of the 30 or so, paintings and sculptures remained in the safekeeping of the director of The Bundes Bank, where they may still be.
