Steki, Athens, 2017
The Cultural Centre, Steki, is a base for learning and activities for refugees in Exarchia, Athens. Three of the people who became involved with working on Bakers Dozen, became so enamoured with the process, that they continued with the henna painting on the many bed sheets which we found.
The resulting works were exhibited in the Steki garden, by pegging them onto washing lines which were strung between the trees.
