Works produced ‘on the road’.
When approaching a journey, I make a decision as to the work I would like to make on that particular trip.
Several considerations come into play:
a)The length of time generally influences how many pieces I hope to work on, with the quantity of days often determining the choice of number.
b)The place, in terms of materials that may or may not be available.
c)The environment, according to the potential size of space.
d)The weather, as to whether it will be outdoor or indoor work.
e) The mode of travel influencing weight and size of materials
f) With whom I may collaborate.
