Interactions

Works that are created by combining with those of others.

On occasions, someone’s work catches the eye and prompts a response to utilise a quality of detail, form and/or texture towards my own ends.
Generally, the impulse is to enhance the abstract elements that are inherent in most art pieces.
In this way, the spectators’ gaze is diverted away from identifying the representational towards the structural elements that balance the composition.
In some instances, the works of others create a context or ‘framing’ device.
Of course, the association is on occasion more direct; when a painting is made collaboratively.
